Enjoy lunch at a pop-up restaurant in Stanmore this Saturday

Posted by Ian Proctor on Mar 7, 13 03:57 PM in Good causes

GRAB lunch at a pop-up restaurant being run inside a Stanmore church on Saturday, March 9.
Harrow Woodcraft Folk, a charity that organises outdoor activities for boys and girls and celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2012, will offer a £6 freshly-prepared Fair Trade set meal at its cafe inside Stanmore Baptist Church Hall in Abercorn Road, Stanmore, between 1pm and 3pm.

On the menu is macaroni cheese or dhal and chaphattis, both served with mixed vegetables, and vegan and vegetarian cakes for dessert.
No reservations are needed but are recommended although diners can simply turn up and take a seat, and the proceeds of the event will go to Harrow Woodcraft Folk and the soon-to-be-launched Harrow food bank.
The food is being prepared by one of the volunteer parents involved in the group, professional chef Douglas Brunnen, and some of the older teenagers from the group will be helping in the kitchen, receiving training in the process, as well as waiting tables alongside some of the other parents.
Entertainment will be provided by the youngsters, so expect renditions of camp songs.
n To reserve a table, contact organiser Steve Porter, chairman of The Friends of Harrow Woodcraft Folk, on 07957 726822.

We'd like to hear from you.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive
a thirty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My apple ipad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share
it with someone!
