Girls morph into caterpillar for charity crawl

Posted by Hannah Bewley on Jan 9, 13 03:33 PM in Good causes

FOUR girls chose an unlikely way to raise money by dressing up as a giant caterpillar.

Rhian Morris, 21, and Gemma Gold, 19, are neighbours from Bush Grove, Stanmore, and are planning to travel to Uganda with two friends Lisa Berkoff, 20, and Rachael Correya, 21.

The friends, who all study Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent university, need to raise £1,000 each and collected money as they crawled across the Millennium Bridge in central London dressed as a giant caterpillar.

Rhian, a former Whitchurch Primary and Park High School student, said: "We wanted something which would attract attention but also not get in people's way, so we came up with the caterpillar idea."

The girls have just started fundraising and the money will go towards their trip where they will build playgrounds in schools and give art lessons.
