Pubs unite to raise money for charity
A GROUP of pubs in Harrow united to raise more than £11,000 for a cancer charity.
Pubs United for Harrow organised a six-and-a-half kilometer walk around the borough in October last year, raising £11,111.11 for charity.
They celebrated by presenting Macmillan Cancer Support with
a cheque last week.
Rosie Bakry and Teresa Stevenson from Moranos Bar, Station Parade, Edgware, set up a Justgiving page and collected the money together. They rounded up a group which walked to more than 20 pubs in Harrow with collecting buckets and asked for individual sponsorship.
