STUDENTS in bright red raised nearly £750 for a national charity after a recent non-school uniform day.
Canons High School raised £746 for The British Heart Foundation after pupils donated £1 each to wear their own red clothes.
The charity was selected by the school council and helped to turn the school scarlet for one day.
As part of the awareness for the foundation all students and staff watched a video with Vinnie Jones explaining about hands-only CPR and how to use it in an emergency.
Fund raising volunteer manager from the British Heart Foundation, Stephanie Davenport, collected the cheque from the head teacher Lynn Rowlands and the school hope to do more for the charity in the future.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
