A RAGGAE star who stashed a gun and ammunition in his Stanmore home has been sentenced to seven years in jail.
Tito Williamson, known in the music industry as Chukki Starr, was found guilty of possessing a prohibited firearm and possessing ammunition after police carried out a raid at his Binyon Crescent address.
On May 10, this year, officers from Brent Crime Squad and Tasking Unit executed two search warrants under the misuse of drugs act at his former Stonebridge address in Hilltop Avenue and his current Binyon Crescent home.
Nothing was found at the Stonebridge address but during a search at Binyon Crescent officers discovered a firearm and ammunition.
Williamson attended Wembley Police Station two days later and was arrested.
He was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court on October 21.
The officer in the case, PC Gavin Davies, said: "We are pleased that Tito Williamson has received a sentence proportionate with his offence.
"This operation resulted in another firearm being removed from the streets of London and we will continue to target offenders on the borough of Brent.
"I encourage anyone with any information on firearms or criminal activity to contact us and help us make our streets safer."
