A WATER leak that caused damage to the electrics forced the closure of Chandos Children's Centre in Chandos Crescent, Edgware, on Thursday.
The damage is being repaired and the building is due to reopened today.

STANMORE charity Ali's Dream will receive a £500 donation from Tesco to celebrate the supermarket chain's opening of its new Express format store in Pinner Road on Friday August 27.
The guest of honour at the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be Julie Phelan, who set up the charity with her husband and friends following the death from a brain tumour of daughter Alison Phelan three weeks before her eighth birthday in 2001.

AN ARTIST from Stanmore who paints and draws in her spare time is exhibiting solo for the first time at her local library.
Rajul Shah, 26, of Dennis Lane, said although they do not have price tags, the works hanging at Stanmore Library in Stanmore Hill until tomorrow (Friday) can be bought.

AN EYE-eagled council worker helped catch a benefits cheat after spotting that bank statements had been faked.
In a bid to continue receiving council tax and housing benefit, bartender Arsim Bajrami, 43, submitted fraudulent Natwest Bank paperwork to conceal the fact that more than £300 of other government tax credits had been paid into his account.
