Views wanted on proposed Stanmore-to-Brent Cross bus route

Posted by Ian Proctor on May 1, 09 03:19 PM in

RESIDENTS are being asked their views on a potential new bus route linking Stanmore and Brent Cross.
The 324 would call at Stanmore and Kingsbury Tube stations on the Jubilee line and Hendon Central station on the Northern line, Kingsbury Community Hospital and Stanmore College.
In doing so, it would bring a bus service to the Stanmore roads of Old Church Lane, Abercorn Road, St Andrews Drive and Culver Grove for the first time.
London Buses propose that buses would operate every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays.
Peter Bradley, London Buses' head of consultation and engagement, said: "We believe the proposed introduction of route 324 would greatly improve transport links in the local area as well as providing a bus route for areas which were not previously served by buses.
"During the consultation London Buses will be listening to the views of local businesses, schools, community organisations and residents and I look forward to hearing their opinions."
The consultation runs until June 12 and leaflets will be sent to properties along the proposed route.

Has the person who's suggested this bus route tried to drive down Abercorn Road in a car during the school run? A bus would have no chance. Good luck!
