The Stanmore branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is hosting a Lifeboat Super Market on November 1.
The market, which will be held between 10.30am-12.30pm at The Bernays Institute, in The Broadway, Stanmore, will feature stalls selling books, jewellery, cakes, plants and toys, as well as a tombola.

Nearly six months after the closure of a medical centre patients are still waiting to hear whether they will get a new surgery.
The Mollison Way Medical centre, in Mollison Way, Edgware, was shut on May 1 after the practice manager and Harrow (PCT) failed to reach an agreement over how to provide care for the 2,900 patients at the surgery.
Since the surgery's closure patients have had to travel to the Honeypot Centre, in Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, 1.2 miles away to be treated by Dr Jacob Kurien.
Canons park will be hosting the Royal Society for the Protection Birds (RSPB) annual Feed the Birds day on October 26. A RSPB stand will be set up at the park to educate residents about the birds in the garden and how to feed. The stand will be in the park from 2pm - 4pm, visitors can enter the park at the Donnefield Avenue entrance, off Whitchurch Lane, next to Canons Park tube station.
Calling all nature lovers! Volunteers are being sought for a working session on November 9 to help restore The Spinney, an ancient woodland area on the borders of Edgware and Stanmore. The session begins at 10am and will involve removing ivy and clearing trees to open up the area. Anyone interested in the event contact 020 8952 0479.
STUDENTS pounded the pavement to raise funds for a teenage cancer charity.
More than 1,300 students from Stanmore College darted through Whitchurchplaying fields, in Wemborough Road, to earn money for their nominated charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust.
The pupils were given a set amount of time to complete the circuit on September 19.
The next meeting of the Stanmore Society will take place on October 28.
Residents are invited to meet the committee and air their views.

Mission to seafarers is hosting their annual coffee morning at a Stanmore church. Residents can come along to St John's the Great church house, in Old Church Lane, Stanmore, on October 18 between 10am and 12pm for a raffle and to browse stalls featuring Christmas cards, calendars and cakes.
Shop volunteers are needed for St Luke's Hospice shops in Pinner, Harrow, Harrow Weald and Stanmore.
Volunteers commit to one shift per week. The charity has an urgent need for volunteers to cover the afternoon shift from 1.15-5pm.
