Cancer claim benefits cheat to be sentenced

A benefits cheat who claimed she had breast cancer is due to be sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Thursday (29).
Christine Areh, of Stag Lane, Stanmore, could face prison after fleecing more than £50,000 in council tax and rent benefits for a house she jointly owned.
She handed a forged certificate, stating she had cancer, to benefit chiefs as an excuse for her absence at a hearing.
